His interview gives insights to life on the Miller and Lux Ranch at Buttonwillow as well as his career in Kern County Law Enforcement. He served as Sheriff of Kern County from 1967 to 1974. He was married to Bakersfield’s first policewoman, Mary Holman Dodge. en
